The short version. Tour Planner has no ads, no analytics, and no tracking, and it never sells your data. Without an account, your tours and ride log stay on your phone. If you sign in, they sync to your account so you can use them on other devices. Your live location leaves your phone only when you turn on Share live or join a group tour. You can delete your account and everything synced to it from Settings → Account.

Who we are

Tour Planner is made by Gina Makes LLC ("we"). Questions or requests: hello@ginamakesbread.dev.

What stays on your device

Your stops, saved tours, ride log, home address, emergency contact, bike details, and settings are stored on your phone. If you don't sign in, they never leave it.

Your location

We use your location to start routes from where you are, show you on the map, give turn-by-turn directions, and check weather alerts nearby. In the iPhone app, Ride mode keeps using your location with the screen locked so voice directions keep working, and stops when you end Ride mode.

To draw the map and find routes and places, the app sends coordinates, without your name or account, to the services listed below. Your location is stored by us only in the cases described under "If you sign in" and "Sharing your ride".

If you sign in

You can sign in with Apple or Google. We receive your name, your email address (or Apple's private relay address), and an account ID. We store the following in Google Firebase, in your account only:

Saved tours (stops and route settings)
Your ride log, including the GPS track of each ride
Settings: home address, emergency contact name and phone, bike details, display preferences

Only you can read this data. We keep it until you delete it or delete your account.

Sharing your ride (only if you turn it on)

Share live: while you're in Ride mode, your position, first name, tour name, speed, miles left, and ETA are saved every 15 seconds. Anyone with your link can see them. Your last position stays until you share again or delete your account.
Group tours: the organizer's tour plan, and each rider's first name and position, can be seen by anyone with the group code. Your position stays until you leave the group or delete your account.
Crash alerts: if crash detection is on and you don't answer the "Are you OK?" countdown, we text the emergency contacts saved in your account (up to 3) your location (and your live link, if on), using Twilio. If you then tap "I'm OK", they get a short follow-up text. Your contact first gets one invite text and must reply YES before any alert is sent; NO or STOP means they never get alerts. Texts go only to the contacts you entered, at most 3 per hour. They can reply STOP to opt out. Phone numbers are never sold or shared for marketing.
Text my location / Check in: this opens a text message to the contact you chose, with a map link. We don't see or store it.

Error reports

If the app hits a bug while you're signed in, it records the error message, the app version, your device type, and your account ID so we can fix it. No location or ride data is included. These reports are deleted with your account.

These services receive your device's IP address, as any website does. We don't share your name or account with them.

Deleting your data

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete my account. This deletes your account and everything synced to it, including tours, rides, settings, live-share and group positions, and error reports. Tours saved only on your phone stay there until you delete the app. You can also email us and we'll delete it for you within 30 days.

Children

Tour Planner is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and note the change in the app's "What's new".
