The short version. Tour Planner helps you plan and ride, but you are the one riding. Routes, closures, weather, and crash detection can be wrong or late. Obey traffic laws and road signs, use your own judgment, and in an emergency call 911 yourself.

Using the app

Tour Planner is licensed to you, not sold, for your personal use. Gina Makes LLC keeps all rights in the app, its design, and its code. You may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer it, or use it to harm, track, or harass anyone. Map and place data come from OpenStreetMap contributors and other providers listed in our Privacy Policy, under their own licenses.

Routes and information

Routes aim to use only roads and trails where bikes are legal, but map data can be out of date or wrong. A road may be closed, unsafe, private, or not allowed for your vehicle. Road closures, weather alerts, shelter suggestions, places, and repair guides are for information only. Check conditions yourself and follow posted signs and local law.

Safety features are a backup, not a guarantee

Crash detection, crash-alert texts, live sharing, and "Text my location" depend on your phone, its battery, GPS, signal, settings, and outside services. They can miss a crash, send a false alarm, or fail to send. The app cannot call 911 for you. Do not rely on Tour Planner as your only way to get help.

Crash-alert text messages (SMS)

Program: Tour Planner Crash Alerts, from Gina Makes LLC.
What it sends: if a rider turns on crash detection and doesn't answer the "Are you OK?" countdown, we text the emergency contacts (up to 3) that rider saved in the app: the rider's location and a link to follow them. If the rider then taps "I'm OK", the contact gets one follow-up text.
Consent: the contact first receives one invite text and must reply YES before any alert is sent. Replying NO or STOP means no alerts are ever sent to that number.
How often: only when a crash is detected; at most 3 texts per hour, usually none.
Cost: message and data rates may apply.
Stop or get help: reply STOP to stop all texts, HELP for help, or email hello@ginamakesbread.dev.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We never sell or share phone numbers for marketing. See the Privacy Policy.

Your account

You can use the app without an account. If you sign in, keep your device secure. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account.

No warranty and limits on liability

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Gina Makes LLC is not liable for injury, loss, or damage from riding, from route or safety information, or from a safety feature that did not work, except where the law does not allow this limit.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date above will change and we'll note it in the app's "What's new". These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa. Questions: hello@ginamakesbread.dev.
